August is usually the hottest month of summer. Did you know that the inside of a vehicle can be up to 20 to 30 degrees warmer than the air outside? Cabin temperatures can increase by as much as 10 degrees in just 5 minutes during the summer months.
Wiygul Automotive Clinic wants to use this moment to remind everyone that it is EXTREMELY dangerous to leave children or animals in a vehicle during the summer months, for ANY length of time. NEVER DO THIS!
Parking in the shade or leaving the air conditioning on won't always protect your pet or child from a dangerous situation.
It is our recommendation that you always take the children when you exit your vehicle. I think we would all agree that the small inconvenience of taking a child in and out of their car seat, etc. is much better than the alternative.
We also recommend that unless you're headed to a pet-friendly store, it's better to just leave “Fido” at home.
